Veterans' Sanctuary Benefit Concert July 9th! Music on the Solar Stage!

Littletree Orchards will once again team up the the Veterans' Sanctuary for a night of music, poetry and fun. Music will include Mustu, The Native Earthling Band, and Technicolor Trailer Park, and more to come. This year the music will brought to you by the power of the sun through the Solar Stage, which just as it sounds run completley of solar power!
We are asking for a donation of $10. Your donations will support the farming and art programs of the Veterans' Sanctuary.
The mission of the Veterans' Sanctuary is to create and sustain a peer-based, residential program to support Iraq and Afghanistan veterans as they transition from combat to civilian life. Our program seeks to provide the tools for transformation and a new path toward addressing veterans' issues. The Veterans' Sanctuary will cultivate a safe space in which participants can embrace and reject, deconstruct and then reassemble their military experiences. They will be empowered to share the burden of war with civilians and eventually the model can be replicated to serve returning veterans in other communities.
"Veterans are the light at the tip of the candle, illuminating the way for the whole nation. If veterans can achieve awareness, transformation, understanding, and peace, they can share with the rest of society the realities of war. And they can teach us how to make peace with ourselves and each other, so we never have to use violence to resolve conflicts again"

A Little About PAUSE:
PAUSE, People Advocating the Use of Sustainable Energy, was founded by Newfield, NY residents concerned about the impacts of shale gas extraction on our town and region. These include environmental, health, economic and social impacts.
We strive to educate ourselves and our neighbors about the technologies and risks of unconventional gas drilling and to promote actions that will protect our town and region.
Our broader mission includes helping to create awareness of the possibilities for energy conservation and renewable energy in Newfield.
We believe that all our neighbors, whether their land is leased or not, value clean air, clean drinking water and the peaceful rural character of our town. We have the right and the duty, as we cross the bridge to the future, to make choices that support a healthy future for all.
Let's PAUSE to create a world in which people, animals, plants, all communities flourish.
